county seat of Tehama
County and counts
about 14,000 citizens
within its 7.7 square
miles.
Located 35 miles
south of Redding and
42 miles nor th of Chico,
it is a favorite stop of
travelers on Interstate
5, the main highway
through the three
Western coastal states.
City Hall is at 555
Washington St. down-
town. It houses the fire
and police depar tments.
The City Council
meets at 7 p.m. the first
and third Tuesdays of
each month.
The Planning
Commission meets at
5:15 p.m. the second
and four th Tuesdays.
