Frogwater • 12:30 p.m. Frogwater is the acoustic musical pairing of multi-instrumentalists Jack and Susan Nicholson. They've been called the little duo that could, and folks have often marveled at how two people can make a sound so big, it could be an entire band. Renowned for their musical virtuosity and exuberant live performances, they are WAMI award recipients (Best Bluegrass and Specialty Instrument) and have been lauded by the Shepherd Express Readers Poll awards. Their repertoire spans from Celtic to Delta Blues, classical to pop, with a healthy dose of unique, original material filling out the mix. Their innovative interpretations of traditional tunes span the centuries and the miles and defy categorization. Pickin' Up Speed • 1:30 p.m. Pickin' Up Speed, a Milwaukee-based bluegrass band, has been around since 1982, giving its first public appearance at Milwaukee's Guest House (a homeless shelter) at Christmas that year. Most of the audience came, looking for a warm place to be. Since that fateful day, Pickin' Up Speed has grown and morphed into a band that is requested at venues in Wisconsin and surrounding states. Pickin' Up Speed plays traditional bluegrass, in the style made popular by Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys. Bluegrass music appeals to audiences of all ages. Thistledown Thunders • 2:30 p.m. Thistledown Thunders are a Milwaukee- based bluegrass band, playing throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, and a collaboration of musicians from Milwaukee's diverse music scene. Drawing influences from folk and bluegrass both old and new, Thistledown Thunders' dulcet ballads and screaming fiddle tunes are sure to get your toes tapping and boots stomping. 246037004 Over Over Locations Locations W63 N139 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, Wisconsin Hours: Mon. & Wed. 9:30am - 8:00pm; Tues., Thurs., Fri. 9:30am - 5:30pm; Sat. 9:30pm - 4pm 262-377-0930 "Making Homes Beautiful Since 1945" THE RIGHT CHOICE Discover the rich beauty of vintage texture and color! • Hand-Scraped Woods • Stone & Wood-Look Tiles • Textured Stone & Wood-Look Luxury Vinyls • Woven Wool Carpet Styles • Plaid, Twill & Striped Carpet Styles 251002007 Pete Seeger called it 'folk music on overdrive.'
