August 3, 2016 Engine 163 wetdown The Cedarburg Fire Department will welcome the newest vehicle into its fleet at the Ozaukee County Fair, with a ceremonial "wetdown" at 6 p.m. Thursday at the rabbit and poultry barn. The christening involves area fire departments dousing Fire Engine 163 with water from fire hoses. Thiensville Fire Chief Brian Reiels will serve as the master of ceremonies. The fire engine was acquired at the cost of $750,000 by the Cedarburg Fire Department; as with all the CFD's capital equipment, it was purchased with money raised entirely through the fundraising efforts of its members. It has updated technology and side airbags. Dunk the DA Visitors at the Ozaukee County Fair will have the opportunity to Dunk Ozaukee County District Attorney Adam Gerol and donate to the Wisconsin Make-A-Wish Foundation at the same time. The dunk tank is hosted by the Republican Party of Ozaukee County and will feature local "celebrities" from around the county. The Celebrity Dunk tank will be open during most of the fair hours and will be located next the RPOC tent. It costs $5 for three balls and $10 for seven balls. The RPOC will donate $1 for every dunk made during the four days or 100 percent of the net proceeds, whichever is greater. To find out more about the RPOC and other events that they are hosting, visit www.ozgop.net or call 262- 236-5139.
