8 LIVE IT UP! FRIDAY, JULY 29, 2016 SANTA CRUZ SENTINEL I f you are 50 and older, then the Scotts Valley Senior Center is the place for you! No matter what time of year, there is always something happening at "The Center". The annual $20 membership fee is one of the best deals in the county and opens up a world of fun, support and resources for YOU!!! Our instructors and activity leaders offer an A to Z variety of offerings….. Art, Bingo, Bocce Ball, Bunko, Book Club, Bridge, Canasta, Chess, Computer Help, Coffee & Conversation, Stretch & Condition, Home Arts, Line Dance, Mahjong, Meditation Muncheon Movie, Pinochle, Scrabble, Swimming, Ukulele, Writing, Yoga and Zumba. There are monthly themed lunches, dinners and potlucks. Wednesdays bring a Meals on Wheels lunch followed by Bingo. Special events during the year include the "At the Hop" Sock Hop, Girls Night Out, Grandparent's Day Breakfast, Flea Markets, New York, New Year's Eve Party Bash, inter- generational events and more. You DO NOT want to miss our much anticipated event, the Scotts Valley Holiday Craft Faire that takes place every year during the FIRST WEEKEND in November.
