Writer and editor tara fatemi Walker fell in love
with santa cruz as a uc-santa cruz student in
the late 80s. she has a master's degree in creative
writing and writes for several outlets including the
santa cruz sentinel, the Monterey Herald and
examiner.com.
a fifth-generation northern californian, Lisa crawford Watson
has enjoyed a diverse career in business, education and
writing. she lives with her family on the Monterey Peninsula
where her grandmother once lived and wrote. an adjunct
writing instructor for csu Monterey Bay and Monterey
Peninsula college, she has published books and thousands of
feature articles and columns in local and national publications.
Jennifer Pittman is a soquel-based freelance reporter
and editor. she writes about regional and state
issues, focusing largely on economic development,
entrepreneurship and long backpack trips. Lately
she's been teaching citizen journalism, taking photos,
shooting video and exploring multi-media storytelling.
Lexie corfiatis is a photographer, writer and
musician living in santa cruz. she is a graduate
of uc-santa cruz. she enjoys spending time
outdoors, which usually involves a jump in the
ocean. You can find her around town playing
music with her band Palmz.
