The Assistant Sports Editor works on deadline several nights a week. The ideal candidate would have a college degree, prior sports experience at a newspaper and excellent writing, photography and page design skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Knowledge of AP style is required. Proficiency with QuarkXPress is a plus.
