Adrienne and I started as full-time employees of The Daily Star within a day of each other, in August 2009. She has been the Scene's calendar and coming events guru since its inception in October 2010, and she will do a marvelous job as the editor of the Scene. DIVERSITY – Why We Should Celebrate Gay Pride Year-Round DIVERSITY – How Dark is Too Dark for White Americans? -July 4 Originally from Ohio, she has more than 10 years experience as a copy editor in upstate New York, beginning her career at Binghamton's Press and Sun Bulletin. Adrienne Wise, left, and me back- stage during Orpheus Theatre's production of 'Rent' in 2010. Although we have been coworkers for three years, she and I become friends through community theater productions; our first show together was Orpheus Theatre's production of "Bye, Bye Birdie" in 2010. She has been moral support and a sounding board for the last two years, and I am going to miss working with her. I've taken pride in the look and design of this publication, but this will also be changing in July. Starting with next month's issue, the Scene will be designed at a sister paper of The Daily Star in a suburb of Buffalo. Lots of changes happening, but the Scene will still aim to be the go-to guide for what's happening in the area. By Cassandra Miller, founding editor of the O-Town Scene
