Adrienne and I started as full-time employees of The Daily Star within a day of each other, in August 2009. She has been the Scene's calendar and coming events guru since its inception in October 2010, and she will do a marvelous job as the editor of the Scene. Although we have been coworkers for three years, she and I become friends through community theater productions; our first show together was Orpheus Theatre's production of "Bye, Bye Birdie" in 2010. She has been moral support and a sounding board for the last two years, and I am going to miss working with her. I've taken pride in the look and design of this publication, but this will also be changing in July. Starting with next month's issue, the Scene will be designed at a sister paper of The Daily Star in a suburb of Buffalo.
