oDD ones BizArre
e Millworks is always packed with art, but never
more so than during the seasonal Odd Ones Bizarre.
In this case, the season was spring, which meant that
the artisans and craftspeople showed off a variety of
clothing, garden items and functional art perfect for
the warmer weather. A few dozen vendors joined the
Millworks' resident artists to serve the flocks of people
who packed into the popular restaurant and creative
colony in Midtown Harrisburg.
PinT .5K
ere are fun runs—and then there are really fun
runs, which best describes the Harrisburg Keystone
Rotary's annual Pint .5K (yes, there's a decimal point
before the "5"). A gaggle of (mostly) non-runners
took to the makeshift course, dodging chipped
pavement and potholes, to endure the grueling (not
really) one-third of a mile course near Appalachian
Brewing Co. in Harrisburg. Who won? Who cares!
Afterwards, the exhausted participants dragged
themselves inside to a more familiar setting to enjoy
a pint or two, all for the sake of raising money for
the club's community projects.
