Sub- mitted Photo Two Knox County women arrested for drunken driving By Andy Heuring Two Knox County women were arrested for drunken driving Sunday morning in separate incidents. One af- ter police were called about a Jeep that had gone off of I- 69 and was driving around in a field at about 5:30 a.m. Nicole Abigail Reel, 25, of 8294 N Eubanks Rd., Bruceville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of op- erating a vehicle while intox- icated by Petersburg Police Cpl. Jared Simmons. Cpl. Simmons said the central dispatch received a 911 call about a vehicle that had run off I-69 into a field near the 44-mile marker. Simmons said when he ar- rived, he found Reel driving a 2007 Jeep in a field, trying to get back to I-69. He stopped her and checked to see if she was okay. Reel refused medical treatment and failed field so- briety tests. She was trans- ported to the Pike County Jail, where she tested 0.19 percent for blood alcohol content, according to Cpl. Simmons. The legal limit in Indiana is 0.08 percent. A Vincennes woman was arrested at about 1 a.m. Sun- day in Campbelltown after she drove left of center. Crystal A. Canchola, 34, of 503 Maniloa St., Vincennes, was arrested by Pike County Deputy Sheriff Buck Seger. Deputy Seger said he was driving north on Highway 61, near CR 150 S., when he saw a yellow Ford go left of center three times in about a quarter of a mile. He stopped the vehicle and noticed the driver had bloodshot eyes that appeared "partially closed and heavy." He said Canchola said she had been prescribed Ativan, which is a schedule IV con- trolled substance and she was recently given hydro- codone at a hospital. Canchola failed field so- briety tests and was taken to the Daviess Community Hospital, where she tested positive for Benzodiazepine and opiates. She was preliminarily charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, (controlled substance).
