Both climbs require admission to Lassen Volcanic National Park. You can buy day and annual passes — which also get you in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area near Redding – at the Southwest Entrance to the park.
Parking for Lassen is along Highway 89 at the top of the summit inside the park. There are restrooms in the parking lot.
Mt. Shasta can be seen in the distance from the peak of Brokeoff Mountain.
Access to the trail head for Brokeoff Mountain is just short
of the Southwest Entrance on Highway 89, so you'll want to turn around and return to the parking area once you buy your
