Bryon Burruss attended col- lege and graduate school at California State University, Chico, Illinois State University and the University of Sheffield in England. He has worked for newspapers off and on since high school, and was a member of the Daily News staff in the late '90s. He has been teaching Theater, Television and Film courses at Shasta College since 1995.

Melissa Mendonca enjoys telling the stories of remarkable North State people and places as much as she enjoys experiencing them. A graduate of San Francisco State and Tulane Universities, she works in youth development and as a freelance writer. If she's not working on her home in Red Bluff she's out
