It's telling that Pike Place promotes the fact that you can meet the producer. As marketplaces become our fruits and veggies, nor do many people even give it a second thought. There are, however, many people out there who do give it a second thought. In fact, there are people who realized that an important connection had been lost, and they be- gan a movement to estab- lish farmer's markets and green markets in Boston and New York City neigh- borhoods. Luckily for to- day's growers, farmer's markets and other public markets provide new mar- keting options for growers.
