May 2012 My Two Cents by Jim Koury, Editor Welcome to the May issue of Diversity Rules Maga- zine. As usual, the current issue is packed full of great features, interesting articles and other topics appealing to all interests within the queer tent. as its feature cover interview. Tom comes to Diversity Rules compliments of Jeff Dorta and Len Evans of Project Publicity, located in New York City. Many thanks go to Jeff and Len, and I would encourage you to check out the Project Publicty website at: www.projectpub- licty.com. Tom D'Angora has brought the highly ac- claimed "Naked Boys Singing" to New York City to the Kirk Theater, located at 410 West Cover Photo Back row: Ryan Obermeier, Chris- topher Trepinski, Tom D'Angora, Jon-Paul Mateo, Seph Stanek Front row/kneeling- Ricky Schroeder, Russell Peck (understudy) Photo credit: NakedBoysSinging.com Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 James R. Tom starred in the highly controversial 2001 production of Naked Boys Sining in Provinc- etown, only to later produce and direct it in 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Naked Boys Singing proves that clothes alone do not make the man. The show is a high camp musical comedy in the style of vaudeville, bur- lesque, and cabaret and features such songs as "The Perky Little Porn Star," "The Bliss of a Briss," and "I Beat my Meat." Tom's husband Michael is a business partner as well. Tom and Michael met at the TKTS booth and were flyering for different shows. They were friends first and evolved into a very luke warm romance. And ten years later they were married. They are friends first, mortal enemies second, and lovers third. That's their recipe for success. Additionally, the May issue contains regular monthly contributors; Milton Wendland, Ter- ry Ludwig, Martin Belk, Lee Lynch, Tarringo Vaughn and Donny Winter. Diversity Rules in May is proud to feature Ra- chael Ikins' new book "Renovations," Larry Costa's new CD "Blue Serenade," some great artwork by Richard Treitner, a new book by Michael Lloyd entitled, "Bull of Heaven," and a wonderful movie, "Glo." There is also a nice feature about the movie, "Bully." I hope you enjoy this month's issue. I encour- age you to share Diversity Rules with your friends and family, and others!
