President, UBM Facility Services
165 Easy St., Carol Stream, IL
As president of UBM Faci-
lity Services, Michael J. Cabre-
ra has played a key role in the
company's growth. UBM was
founded in May of 1979 and is
currently one of the largest mi-
nority owned firms in the Mid-
west, providing quality focused
facility maintenance programs,
including janitorial cleaning,
HVAC/mechanical, painting,
elevator/escalator, landscaping
and snow plowing services.
UBM was started as a small
carpet cleaning company with
one truck, one machine and
one simple philosophy: Quality
Service and Total Client Satis-
faction. In 2013, the family com-
pany reported $76.2 million in
revenue, in part because of this
commitment, which has helped
UBM attract an impressive roster
of longtime Fortune 1000 clients,
including Commonwealth Edi-
son, AT&T, Walgreens, CITGO
and United Airlines.
Currently, UBM provides
service to over 1,000 facilities
across the state of Illinois and
northwest Indiana, and its daily
impact exceeds 75 million squa-
re feet.
