Todos quedaron asombrados y se preguntaban lo mismo. La naturaleza con mucho gusto les concedió todo un día domingo muy agradable a los aficionados y familiares, que desde muy temprano se concentraron en las canchas Sports Village, donde sobresalió mucha juventud con las ganas de perseguir el balón. También estuvo acompañada de mucha simpatía en las madrinas que posaban frente a todo el jurado calificador, para que otorgaran el puntaje y pudieran obtener un premio en la apertura del nuevo torneo, que año con año presenta la Bakersfield Youth Soccer League. Algunos jovencitos dijeron que durmieron con todo el uniforme muy cerca de su almohada, y al primer cantar del gallo, ya estaban completamente equipados y uniformados. Todos deseaban llevarse el premio que siempre se entrega al equipo con el más vistoso uniforme, hay que recalcar que fué una dura tarea para los jueces calificadores, porque muchos equipos se presentaron de gala. Pero lo más importante es que todo salió completamente en paz, el majestuoso desfile abrió la temporada para todas las edades que ya disfrutaron de su primera jornada. Ernesto (El Campeón) Garay, agradeció infinitamente a todos los entrenadores, los jugadores y familares, por ser parte de esta amplia liga que siempre acapara la atención en nuestra localidad, y expresó que siempre estará dispuesto a fomentar el deporte con los infantiles y juveniles. Luego de todo el cierre ceremonial, los muchos equipos se repartieron a las diferentes canchas que se llenaron de colorido y como ya es de costumbre, abundaron los goles.
