"Getting to now BE one of those people that brings a quality program that can help newspapers succeed is an exceptional opportunity I'm thrilled to have." Saundra attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (Chickasha, OK) to pursue a degree in education but fell in love with the newspaper business along the way and changed her career path. Fred Ellison, Media Analyst Fred joined ANC earlier this year and brings a wealth of sales and management expertise to his new role. During his 35 year newspaper career, Fred has worked in several different markets in various sales and management roles, from Greenville, AL to San Francisco, CA. Through the years, he has worked for Gannett, EW Scripps and Hearst. Fred believes that regardless of the market, there are things that remain constant to selling successfully; teamwork, know people love to buy and hate to be sold, and present with sincere enthusiasm. These fundamentals and his background have prepared him well for his new job at ANC. Newspapers are making a comeback and are still very relevant, especially in the medium to smaller size markets. Fred believes there is still strong demand for local news and this garners a terrific paid audience in the communities they service. Fred's selling philosophy is to do the right thing for your customers, give impeccable service and the rest will take care of itself. Fred makes his home in Phoenix, AZ but is originally from Montgomery, AL. He attended Troy University studying business and accounting and comes from a newspaper family. His father worked in advertising sales at the Montgomery Advertiser and his brother was a press- man at the Advertiser. He is married to his teenage sweetheart Janet, has two daughters and three grandchildren. 597 OLIVER STREET FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28304 910-323-0349 (PHONE) 910-323-9280 (FAX) WWW.NEWSPAPERCONSULTANTS.COM "Do the right thing for your customers, give impeccable service and the rest will take care of itself".
