Home sales up in July Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee counties all saw increases in the number of homes sold in July when com- pared with 2014. Source: Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors By KATHERINE MICHALETS Conley News Service MILWAUKEE — It's been nothing but good news out of the real estate industry in recent months, and on Monday the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors announced that July was the sixth straight month of positive sales and the fifth month in a row of double-digit sale increases. In the metropolitan Milwaukee mar- ket, home sales increased 12.1 percent in July, compared with the same month in 2014. In July of this year, 2,199 homes were sold compared with 1,962 the same month in 2014. Leading the four-county metro area was Washington County with a 34.2 per- cent increase in home sales for July (236 homes sold), compared with July of 2014. Ozaukee County had an increase of 27.4 percent, (172 homes sold), Waukesha County sales grew by 15.1 percent (693 homes sold), and Milwaukee County saw an uptick of 5.2 percent (1,098 homes sold), when com- paring the same periods.
