Mrs. Blanton was preced- ed in death by her husband, William P. Blanton; her par- ents, Charlie Columbus and Fannie Love Panther; brothers Gussie, Archie, McKinnley, JB, Grady and Floyd Panther and sisters Rosa Lillian, Veola Ledford, Edna Black and Oveda Vaughan. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Theresa (Blanton) and Clark Poole, Rutherfordton, NC; Rebecca (Blanton) and Charles Greene, Gastonia, NC; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Dessie Johnson; sister-in-law, Marveta Blanton McGinnis, Cherryville, NC and numer- ous nieces and nephews.
