February 2012 My Two Cents by Jim Koury, Editor Welcome to the February issue of Diversity Rules Magazine! What a month January was with Imani as the feature interview. The January issue was the most widely viewed and circulat- ed issue ever! has been receiving. It means so much to me to know that it is impacting people in ways that I never imagined and being read in places that I never would have expected. Thank you all very much for your support! I am so grateful and hum- bled at the positive reaction Diversity Rules Magazine I am also very excited to be part of the March for Equality to be held in various places on April 12th all over the world! It is being spear- headed by my friend Joe Knudson and his wonderful compatriots. Diversity Rules Maga- zine is proud to be a media sponsor for this im- portant event. Information about the march is on page 11. There will also be more informa- tion in subsequent issues. I am proud of Joe and all the others who have gotten the March for Equality off the ground and running. I am very excited about this month's feature interview with James Hornik. On August 31, 2009 James Hornik was raped by another male in Hollywood, California. Mr. Hornik found himself in great need of police assistance and called on the LAPD, trusting that they would help him in his sudden predicament. When asked if he could press charges against his at- tacker, the LAPD officers simply responded, "A gay man can't be raped." James Hornik has been fighting for more un- derstanding and recognition that men (gay or straight) can be raped ever since that muggy night in August of 2009 with very little help at all. Diversity Rules presents James' case to its read- ers and hopefully can play a role in bringing some justice to James. Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 James R.
