A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Walker Boyce and Minnie Jean West Davis. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Randy Upton Jr; two daughters Carole Robinson and husband Tim of Harris, Sandy Marshall and husband Gary of Forest City; grandchildren, Emily Upton, Brittany R. Greene and husband Ryan, Randy Upton Jr, Charlie Upton, T.J. Robinson, Devon Lovelace; great grandchildren, Garrett Upton, Trey Upton and Oakley Robinson; sister Brenda Hamrick of Forest City and brother, Donald Davis of Forest City. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Upton Jr. Funeral services were held at Crowe's Mortuary with Rev. Fred Williams officiating. Crowe's Mortuary is serving the family. JACQUELINE CURTIS Smith Curtis, age 67, of Ellenboro, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. Born January 18, 1948 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Smith and Rose Lee Boles Smith. Jackie was a member of Campfield Memorial Baptist Church where she was active in the senior adults, children's ministry and sang in the choir. She was retired from PPG Industries and Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Wayne Curtis; two daughters, Leah Greene and husband Brian, Julie Thorn and hus- band Steve; two sisters, Sandra Hensley, Rosann Hovis; and one broth- er, Larry D. Smith. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandson. A funeral service was conducted at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Huffman offi- ciating. Interment held at Campfield Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
