COMING EVENTS Dec. 29, 2011 - Jan. 14, 2012 Shire to host NYE bash O'Neill's Shire Pub on Main Street in Delhi will host a New Year's Eve Bash that features The Honest Mistakes starting at 10 p.m. Sat- urday, Dec. 31. The event will be a masquer- ade party, and masks will be provided. Liquid Me will perform at 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the pub. Singers to perform at Empire Sheila and Shuler will be reunited on stage for a night of favorite songs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the Empire House Restaurant in Gilbertsville. Andes NYE party to include blues The Andes Hotel will host a New Year's Even party featuring the Blues Maneuver, a three-course meal, champagne toast and party favors Saturday, Dec. 31. Reserva- tions are suggestion, and the cost is $65 per person. Seatings begin at 8 p.m. The Blues Maneuver is one of the Catskill region's busiest, swingingest bands. With a versatile repertoire of classic Motown, swing, blues, R&B and oldies, the seven-piece band combines top-notch musicianship, impeccable vocals and "a mighty horn section," accord- ing to a media release. The hotel will also offer a New Year's Day jazz brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1. The Andes Hotel is at 110 Main St. in An- des. For information, call (845) 676-4408. Performance and gallery show to be in Bainbridge The Jericho Arts Council in Bainbridge will present a one-night-only showing of D. Michael Price's work, which will coincide with a performance by the Susquehanna String Band at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14. Price is a fantasy artist who works in acrylic and oil mediums on canvas. The Town Hall Gallery is on the second floor of the Town Hall Building on Main Street in Bainbridge. Admission to the gallery is free. Contributed 'Cool Runnings' will be the first film shown in the Cooperstown Cabin Fever Film Series at 7 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Baseball Hall of Fame. Biblical art to be on display Oxford's 6 On The Square will host an opening reception for Greene artist Louis Mancuso's "Bible Images" show from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6. The exhibit, which features Mancuso's paint- ings of Bible stories, will run through March 1. Contradance to be in Cooperstown Otsego Dance Society's first contradance in 2012 will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at the Presbyterian Church in Cooper- stown. All ages are welcome and no partner or ex- perience is necessary. All dances are taught, with more instruction for beginners during the earlier dances. Jazz duo to begin series in Middleburgh The Middleburgh Library series will begin with the jazz duo Sonny and Perley at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10. Husband and wife Sonny Daye and Perley Rousseau perform a blend of jazz, Brazilian bossa nove and cabaret. Cabin Fever Film Series to begin Fenimore Art Museum, The Glimmerglass Festival and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum present the eighth annual Cabin Fever Film Series on Fridays in January and February at 7 p.m. The film screenings are free and open to the public and run Jan. 6 through Feb. 17 at ei- ther the Fenimore Art Museum Auditorium or Contributed 'David and Goliath,' a painting in Louis Mancuso's 'Bible Images' exhibit will be at 6OTS from Jan. 6 to March 1, with an opening reception on Friday, Jan. 6. the National Baseball Hall of Fame's Grand- stand Theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The first films are "Cool Runnings" on Jan. 6 at the Baseball Hall of Fame and "The Adventures of Huck Finn" on Jan. 13 at the Fenimore Art Museum. Artists to show in Oneonta Bobby Sharp will exhibit his "Jimi Hendrix Experience and Botanical Art" along with postmodernist Lio Mag's work and Peter Brandt's "Architectural Imaging" at the B. Sharp Studio and Gallery at 736 State High- way 28 S. in Oneonta. An opening reception will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Sharp's gallery. The exhibits will be on display through Feb. 20.
