Mr. Costner served our country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Barbara Champion Costner and his parents, Ham Jake and Mollie Leanna Beam Costner. He is survived by his 2 sons, Terry Hugh Costner and wife Barbara of Shelby; and Gary Costner of California; one sister, Mildred Cornwell and husband Hugh of Forest City, NC; and one sister, Betty Mitchem of Columbia, SC.
