The Cancer Resource Fund was recently established through the Rutherford Hospital Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to help cancer patients who live in Rutherford County and are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. A one-time, limited award from the fund can be applied to a patient's needs. "We see so many cancer patients here at the Center and through Patient Navigation that need just the basics – food, transportation, utilities and rent as they go through treatment," said Jamie Ingraham, Cancer Outreach program manager. "We are just getting started and funds are limited, but patients are so grateful for whatever help they receive." 828-248-1408 Rutherford Weekly - Page 11 THERA-SSAGE It's time to take care of yourself. 431-2 S.
