The Brielle artist, Don Bernhardt, writes, "'Vintage Surf Shop' is based entirely on memories I had grow-
ing up along the Jersey Shore and surfing at Sandy Hook, Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, and Long Branch.
Long Branch played such an important part in all surfers' lives, both in summer and winter. One of my
fondest memories is just standing inside the Weber Surf Shop in Long Branch and looking across the
way…it was always exciting! I continue to surf to this very day, creating new memories."
