The Rutherford County Personnel, Revenue and Maintenance Departments were recently
awarded Certifi cates of Safety Achievement and were recognized for outstanding safety and
health efforts at the Department of Labor Banquet. This was a result of substantial reduction
of injuries and illnesses and the promotion of safer working conditions. Commissioner Bryan
A. King attended the NC Department of Labor Banquet on behalf of Rutherford County. He
was also presented a Safety Award for his company, Lakeside Mills, Inc., for outstanding work
in accident prevention. His daughter, Caroline King, accepted the award presented by Cherie
Berry, Commissioner of Labor.
