I missed a fl ight by four minutes. So I had to hang around the airport for about four hours, until the next available fl ight. Being late meant that I wouldn't get home until after midnight which defi nitely wasn't my fi rst choice because I had an hour-long radio interview early the next morning. I was a little upset with myself as I sat in the airport, going over in my mind all of the things that I should have done, but didn't, in order to get to the airport on time. I was pretty rough on myself and started feeling a little down… …until I talked with my wife. I groused about my negligence, the delay in getting home, and the uncertainty of an available seat on the connecting fl ight. Then she said, "But honey, you always land on your feet. Just do what you tell everyone else to do—Listen to Life and Live Positive." And I did, much more humble than before our conversation. I sat down, turned on my laptop, and wrote this story to share with you. So today when you make a mistake like I did, don't be so hard on yourself.
