Each week, SUNY Oneonta-based NPR af- filiate WUOW features a worthy musician in its Friday Night Featured Artist radio program from 8 to 9 p.m. at 104.7 FM in Oneonta and on- line at wuow.org. It was no doubt a popular place, found on what was also called the "Albany Road" near Colliersville, long before Interstate 88 was built. There's even an "Evening Inn Road" nearby. Today it is home to Andres Blue Ribbon BBQ. — Mark Simonson Mark Simonson is the Oneonta city historian. These advertisements once appeared in The Daily Star, Oneonta Star or The Oneonta Herald. my-winning American singer songwriter. His raspy vocals attract- ed a mass audience with hit songs such as "Trou- ble" and "You Are the Best Thing," which have been used in commercials and in movies.
