Continued from Page 10 It's not your average coffee shop, lean- ing more toward the French idea of cafe as bar and restaurant. But owner Geri Barnes also said she is proud of the Cafe Connection baristas' coffee-making skills. Barnes said the cafe originated from an idea she had to fill a niche in the Norwich com- munity. Enhancing the downtown area and aiding the area's effort to become a destina- tion are a couple of the San Diego transplant's motivations. She wants her cafe to be a place where people connect, which gives the cafe's name more meaning.
