13 Diversity Rules Magazine January 2015 Helen Dunn is best known due to her novel "Untamed Women of Yester- year," published by L-Books, receiving honorable men- tion by the Golden Crown Literary Society, as well as being nomi- nated for Favorite Lesbian Fiction Historical - by the Lesbian Fiction Readers Choice Awards group for 2011. Helen Dunn has written over 20 novellas, as well as once writing a newspaper column. She grew up in an environment that was almost 19th century, living on dirt roads in houses that had no running water, and an ice box rather than a refrigerator and remembers, as a young child, her mother cooking on a wood burning stove, while her father farmed with mules. After spending many of her adult years in a large mid-western city, she and her partner re- turned to the country and presently live on a quiet, peaceful farm with several animals. Many of her writings have historical settings and paranormal elements in them, and of course, there's always a romance for her readers. e Lezzies vs. e Fundies is a LOL novelette that takes a hilarious look at the uproar between the LGBT community and the far right fundamental- ist fanatics. Dunn dares you to read this novelette without chuckling! THE LEZZIES VS THE FUN- DIES contains a multi-cast of characters that in- clude straight, lesbian and transgender individuals that all intertwine with each other in various hu- morous ways as their lives and their secrets get dis- rupted and everything hits the fan.
