"I have worked with Advantage Newspaper Consultants for our weekend TV Books for the last three years in Palestine and other East Texas markets owned by CNHI. We've established a great relationship with ANC and look forward to our TV Book sales week every year. Each year we raise the bar and surpass our goal thanks to the help of Lisa Wilkin- son and ANC's sales team. Most recently, in Palestine, we secured $80,000 of business for 2015, surpassing our previous record of $73,000. More importantly, over 85% of our 2014 advertisers renewed their contract for 2015. This shows that the program produces results for our advertisers and that is what matters the most." Jake Mienk Publisher Palestine Herald-Press Gary Beeson, a former Media Analyst, was promoted to Division Sales Manager with the TV Magazine Ad Sales Division of ANC in July 2014. As Division Sales Manager, Gary is responsible for securing new newspaper accounts, performing demographic and market research and working with newspaper management to develop TV magazine ad programs that appeal to the advertisers in their market. "Gary has been a valued member of the ANC sales team, and we are delighted to recognize his success and commitment as our business continues to grow", said President, Timothy O. Dellinger. "Gary's high degree of professionalism, experience and understanding of the newspa- per ad sales industry will help ANC maintain the momentum we've experi- enced these past few years and build on the reputation we have for great customer service." Gary is a North Carolina native and currently resides in Kernersville, NC with his wife, Ruth. ANC Media Analyst Lisa Wilkinson (second from the left) and the ad sales staff at The Herald-Press In November 2014, ANC announced the promotion of long- time employee Marie Smith to Executive Director of Sales. Marie joined ANC as a Media Analyst in 2000, traveling to newspapers across the United States to secure annual advertising contracts in their weekly TV magazine insert. Her exceptional sales record and customer service skills led to her promotion to Division Sales Manager with ANC in 2006. "Marie's dedication and loyalty to our company, our industry and our customers has been a big part of ANC's success over the past decade. While many businesses in the newspa- per industry have suffered great losses, employees like Marie have helped our company thrive and grow. We are excited that she has accepted this new role and all of its additional responsibilities." said President, Timothy O. Dellinger. As the Executive Director of Sales, Marie now oversees the sales department, including sales managers and a team of more than ten sales representatives. Her new position will also include managing the travel coordination for the department. Marie retains many of the duties she performed as Division Sales Manager as well. Marie lives in Eastover, North Carolina and when not traveling for ANC, she enjoys vacations with her family and doing volunteer work with several local community organizations.
