Page 39 Best Business Section or Pages/ Category 27 First place Business Staff The Commercial Review (Portland) Comments: Your readers are blessed to have such an array of business reporting. Second place Business Brian Culp The Reporter-Times (Martinsville) Comments: Solid regional coverage. A little too heavy on new businesses. Third place Business Andrea Howe Princeton Daily Clarion Comments: No comments given. Best Special Section/Category 28 First place 2014 Who We Are Staff The News-Banner (Bluffton) Comments: Who We Are reflects what a lot of us are: com- munities made up of interesting people. This section was a good read and gave me a snapshot of Wells County. The News-Banner (Bluffton) staff should be proud. This is a section where the editor probably took a lot of flack from some townsfolk: "Why didn't you get me in there?" That's why there's next year. Good job! Second place 'Little Savages:' Filmed in Culver Lois Tomaszewski & Jeff Kenney Pilot News (Plymouth) Comments: What a great idea. A fun section. Staff took advantage of a rare opportunity and capitalized on it. Third place Sailing to state Staff Washington Times-Herald Comments: I imagine there were a few of these sections in the stands at the championship game. What is better valida- tion than that? Best Community Service/Category 29 First place Portland Pool Staff The Commercial Review (Portland) Comments: Excellent community story. Love how the read- ers asked, and you delivered. Nice work and great writing. Second place "Cart with a cause" Amy Oberlin Herald-Republican (Angola) Comments: Good awareness and response. Third place Pink Purpose Staff The Tribune (Seymour) Comments: Great way for the newspaper to serve a cause by writing about it, all the way to the donation. Enjoyed the angle of using others who had to endure the disease other than the survivors. Best Newspaper Design/Category 30 First place Staff The Tribune (Seymour) Comments: Fun, colorful design. Beautiful single copy pre- sentation. Wonderful use of sky boxes. Second place Mike Marturello & Mark Murdock Herald-Republican (Angola) Comments: Great headlines, typography and use of color. Third place Staff Princeton Daily Clarion Comments: Neat, well-organized, lots packed into this paper! Division 3
