Best Multiple Picture Group/Category 20 First place Band Michael Caterina Princeton Daily Clarion Comments: Some nice moments here – the kids huddled together, and the drummers with their hands in their shirts really set the scene. The intro shot of the horn players is well-framed. Second place State Kelly Overton Washington Times-Herald Comments: Good mix of action and feature shots, though there are a few that made the cut that shouldn't have. Over- all, you worked the game well and provided a well-rounded look at the event. I'd suggest staying on the coach a bit longer. With his team playing in the state finals (in Indiana, nonetheless!) I'm sure the coach had much more dramatic expressions or gestures than we see here. Third place Gray profile Aaron Piper The Tribune (Seymour) Comments: Because the contest site for some reason doesn't display captions, it's impossible to know what the story is about. I'm guessing that it's got something to do with the challenges of being a little person. If so, I'd have liked to see pictures of the couple out in public, maybe at the grocery store, engaged in those everyday activities that can be a struggle for people of small structure. There are some unique angles here. I'd have like to have seen more from this series. Best Still Photo Story with Audio or Video Story/Category 21 First place Parade of Classics 2013 James Tew The Star (Auburn) Comments: No comments given. Second place Flight over Angola Brian Glick & James Tew Herald-Republican (Angola) Comments: No comments given. Third place Neighbors: Charlene Kelly Mike Marturello & James Tew Herald-Republican (Angola) Comments: No comments given. Division 3 Laci Holland pushes Jilian Lewis down the snow-covered hill near the Express Inn in Princeton.
