Construction On Track: In addition to the work on the power substation and cables, the data center is closing in on completing its loading dock and various paving projects. Approximately 439 personnel -- many from the surrounding area -- were busy at the site over the last two weeks. “Hitting 500,000 hours and seeing the terrifi c results has been gratifying for everyone involved,” said data center manager George Henry. “We look forward to continuing the pace, and opening the data center in early 2012. But the signs leading Bryon Collier to success over the years have been mixed. The booming ‘90s and early 2000s meant needing only a few big clients and a workforce of 25 people to fi ll the demand.
