Mr. Loren Stacey, Sr., age 63, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2011. A graveside service was held at Harris First Baptist Church Cemetery. Military hon- ors were accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Mr. Stacey was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Stacey was preced- ed in death by her parents, Albert Hugh Stacey and Bernie Wilson Stacey and one son, Loren Dane Stacey, Jr. He is survived by two daughters, Shannon Estrada and husband, Hugo of Henrietta and Rebecca Stacey of Chesnee, SC; one son, Loren Ross Stacey of Forest City; three brothers, Steve Stacey, Sr. of Atlanta, GA; Morris Stacey of Harris; Norris Stacey and wife, Karen, also of Harris; two sis- ters, Cynthia Heffner and hus- band, Mike of Rutherfordton and Julia Lovelace of Sandy Mush. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Memorial donations are suggested to Harris First Baptist Church Building Fund, 127 Hogan Road, Forest City, NC 28043. Harrelson Funeral Home is serving the family. BLANCHE SMITH BROCK Ms. Blanche Mae Smith Brock, 89, of Forest City, NC passed away on Saturday, July 2. A memorial service was held at Word Of Faith Fellowship. Internment was private. Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brock; her parents, Major George and Bertha Mae Melton Smith and brothers, Eldon Smith; James Smith; Oliver Smith and Mack Smith. She is survived by her three children, Ray Brock and wife Faye of Atlanta, GA; Jane Whaley and hus- band SAm of Rutherfordton and Kenneth Brock and wife Anne of Rutherfordton; a spe- cial daughter, Sandra Norris of Forest City; daughter-in- law, Barbara Brock of Forest City; three sisters, Corene McDaniel, Ruth Roper and Doris Elliott, all of Forest City; six brothers, Clyde Smith and wife Jean of Forest City; Dewey Smith; Harold Smith; JB Smith; Morris Smith and Clay Smith, all of Rutherford County; step-mother Geneva Smith of Rutherfordton; two sisters-in-law, Marie Smith and Louise Smith of Forest City; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchil- dren. In lieu of flowers, memori- als may be made to the Word of Faith Holocaust Museum or the Word of Faith School, 207 Old Flynn Rd., Spindale, NC 28160. Crowe’s Funeral Home is serving the family. MARJORIE LEE DAVIS Marjorie Lee Greene Davis, 71 of Old US Highway 74 Business, Ellenboro, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011. Services were held at Concord Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Greene was pre- ceded in death by her par- ents, James and Rosa Lee Davidson Greene; one son, Jeffrey Scott Davis. She is survived by her husband, J.D. Davis; one son, Allan “Cooter” Davis and fiancé Luann McKnight of Lawndale; one daughter, Lisa Garner and husband Doug of Mooresboro; one brother, Jack Green and wife Maxine of Forest City; five sisters, Judy Keck and husband Mike; Shirley Fish; Deb Wood and husband Kevin, all of Forest City; Geraldine Russ and hus- band Mickey of Bostic and Susie Blanton of Ellenboro; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
