CEDARBURG, WI: On August 2 & 3, 2014, the Cedarburg Cultural Center will present the 45th annual Architectural Treasures Tour: "Out and About" sponsored by Sally Ward of Shorewest, REALTORS®. The tour features properties in Ozaukee County and neighboring eastern Washington County. The homes, all originally built between 1850 and 1890, reflect the history and craftsmanship of their surrounding communities. "The Center is proud to present these unique homes that tell a story of heritage, craftsmanship and preservation," explains tour co-chairperson, Amy Cordio. "Tour-goers will enjoy a day travelling rural roads dotted with historic buildings and farmsteads to discover the pastoral settings of a bygone era." Featured properties on this year's tour include: A cozy bed-and-breakfast ("The Stone House") nestled in a pristine setting of rolling hills, kettles, woods and wetlands. A charming farm home with a modern farmhouse palette and décor. An 1880's farmhouse updated for 21st-century family living and surrounded by rich history. An 1860's stone farmhouse lovingly restored and renovated to suit a growing family. Vintage dishes, family antiques and colorful gardens complement the setting.
