In a very forward thinking and proactive move that promises to help propel the young athletes of Rutherford County to a more competitive level, Therapy Plus is launching The Performance Enhancement Center. In describing the goal of the PEC, owner Brandon Waters enthused, “The PEC is for boys and girls ages 9 to collegiate. We want to help young people develop the speed and agility that will help them prog- ress in their chosen sports.” He continues, “No matter what your goals are, we have a program for you!” The core of the PEC training is keeping programs tailored to the athlete and their sport’s targeted need. Helping Waters and his staff will be Dr. Mike Roberts, in the role of Medical Director for the PEC. Further assistance will come from Rutherford Orthopedics as they will be instrumental in designing programs specifi c to the athlete. Concerned parents will appreciate the PEC’s focus on injury prevention. According to Waters, “For the young athlete, the KEY is injury prevention. We can help young athletes by teaching them the correct form and mechanics of their sport. That’s what’s going to be the foundation of the training”. Performance Enhancement Center, Brandon Waters & Parker Tate Therapy Plus has expanded their facility by adding on a large training room with the latest equipment. Waters foresees the programs to be built around 1-4 participants per group, specializing in a particular sport. The PEC is currently working with Rutherford County Schools to help prepare their athletes for the coming school year, offering schools team rates.
