By TOM JOZWIK Special to The Post MILWAUKEE – Today is the 70th anniver- sary of D-Day, the day the Allies invaded Normandy, arguably the turning point of World War II. On Saturday, some 25 World War II veter- ans and approximately 60 veterans of the Korean War will commemorate D-Day with a red-letter day of their own. The one-time ser- vicemen and women, each joined by a "spon- sor," will participate in a Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, traveling between Milwaukee and Washington, D.C., and visiting national monuments to wars waged by veterans like themselves and to at least one commander in chief (Abraham Lincoln). Soon-to-be and past Honor Flight travelers talked with a Post reporter over the past week. "They have got every- thing well together," said Timothy Haas, him- self an Air Force veteran, who will accompa- ny his 90-year-old dad, Donald, on Saturday's flight.
