A native of Catawba County, she was born on August 17, 1938, a daughter of the late Margaret Elam. She was a retired Nanny and had worked in the Plastic Industry. Mrs. McDaniel was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Earley Rakes of Forest City and Kimbery Early Mann of Sunshine; one son, Randy Allen Dugger of California; one adopted brother, Jerry McGuinn of Taylor, Michigan; one granddaugh- ter, Summer Toney; two great grandchildren, Elise and Alissa Baker. A Celebration of Mrs. McDaniel's Life was held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel. M c K i n n e y - L a n d r e t h & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the McDaniel family. Willard was a native of Rutherford County, the son of the late Gaither Claude and Annie Mae Whitesides Hill, a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church and was a plumber by trade. Left to cherish his mem- ory are his loving wife of 65 years Lois Virginia Hill of the home, son Arnold Larry (Kathy) Hill of Gaffney, SC, daughter Rita Faye (Alan) Bowen of Rutherfordton, sis- ters Wilma Hall and Reba Mode of Rutherfordton; grandchildren Michelle (Shane) Jackson of Tryon, Chris (Krystal) Hill and Jon (Kerry) Hill of Duncan, SC; great grandchildren Austin, Jacob, Noah and Seth Jackson of Tryon and Peyton, AJ, Durham and Garrett Hill of Duncan, SC Funeral services were conducted at Piney Knob Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Brown, Rev. Shane Jackson and Mr. Chris Hill officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043 Crowe's Mortuary & Crematory is assisting the family. CLARK ROY WILKERSON, SR Clark R. Wilkerson, Sr., born June 3, 1921, departed this life Wednesday April 23, 2014. He was the son of the late Julie Logan Wilkerson and Samuel Briscoe Wilkerson of Lake Lure, NC. To this union was born 6 sisters and and 2 brothers. Deceased siblings are Maggie, Dovie, Nannie, Nathaniel and Clinton. Surviving are sisters Violet Parrish, Ossie Payne and Volena Littlejohn. Clark was a veteran of WW II, a farmer by pro- fession and a talented car- penter. During the early years of what was known as "Fairfield" he assisted in constructing many homes in the area. In his leisure time he loved to fish and hunt with his friends. Clark was known by his big smile, big laugh and big heart. He could be very entertaining and loved recalling "humorous times" with his friends. Clark came to Christ at an early age. He was a devoted and active member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church of Lake Lure, NC where he served as deacon and in other offices throughout the years. Clark loved God and was a person of great faith. Clark was devoted to his family – wife Zetta Littlejohn Wilkerson of 74 yrs (deceased); his five chil- dren- Clark Wilkerson, Jr. (Sandra), Zelma W. Young (Larry), (Faye W. Thompson – deceased), Marvin C. Wilkerson (Diana) and Dexter B. Wilkerson (Cheryl); 11 grandchildren, (Pamela Wilkerson-deceased) and 13 great grandchildren. He also leaves a host of beloved nieces and nephews with whom he shared many cher- ished moments. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Funeral Services were held at Mt.
