The lunch menu features items like wild mushrooms bisque, which is a puree of assorted wild mushrooms with roasted garlic, herbs and cream. Vegetarian dish grilled portabella mushroom sandwich is fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, toma- toes and pesto mayo on herb foccacia. French onion soup is always on the menu, as are the crispy chicken BLT and the fish and chips plate. The tavern menu has fried goodies like burgers, Buffalo wings, popcorn chicken, crispy fried mushrooms and pulled pork barbecue sandwich. The Sunday brunch includes classic eggs Benedict, buttermilk pancakes _ plain, blueberry or topped with apple com- pote _ served with sausage or bacon, omelettes, steak frites with house-cut fries as well as smoked salmon with poached eggs and crispy potatoes. During the summer the “Cans and Clams” picnic party is popular, open every Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in July and August. The Andes Hotel and Restaurant also features live music and entertainment on weekends. The first Friday of every month is karaoke night. This Saturday, April 23, there will be live music starting 9:30 p.m. from local indie band Esquela.
