Incorporated in 1876, Red Bluff is the county seat of Tehama County and has a population of about 14,000 within its 7.7 square miles.
Located 35 miles south of Redding and 42 miles north of Chico, Red Bluff is a favorite stop of travelers on Interstate 5, the main freeway through the three West Coast states. Red Bluff and Tehama County have plenty to offer those passing through or spending a weekend at the rodeo, with great downtown shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities.
In addition to the excitement and variety of Round-Up events, the area features sev- eral wineries in Manton, Cottonwood and Vina, art galleries and antique stores throughout downtown Red Bluff, public golf courses in Red Bluff and Corning, the Sacramento River Discovery Center at the end of Sale Lane off of Antelope Boule- vard, the Bend Recreation Area just north of Red Bluff, a multi-screen movie theater, Lassen Volcanic National Park, bowling and miniature golf and terrific dining on everything from a juicy burger to prime rib.
