Tye began her real estate career in Aptos 24 years ago, and worked primarily in her home town of South Lake Tahoe. It's been nearly two years since Tye made the transition to Account Executive from REALTOR® and Managing Broker. " e corporate world is quite a change from what I used to do. e best thing about having so much experience in Real Estate is that I understand the importance of the relationship a REALTOR® has with their client and I can bring value to both of them" says Tye. According to Watson, many agents and homeowners do not realize the expense and hassle that could be avoided by having an AHS Home Protection Plan in place. In fact, 70% of new homeowners experience a mechanical failure in their home during the fi rst year that could have been covered by a home warranty. American Home Shield founded and created the home warranty industry in 1971 and accepts and pays more claims than any other home warranty company in the nation, which has added up to $3 billion in the past 10 years. Last year over three million service requests were handled by AHS. "I am proud to be a part of an organization dedicated to continuously improving systems in order to provide an optimal customer service experience. AHS recently won '2013 Best in Service Award' from HomeWarrantyReviews.com. is was exciting for all of us who work every day in the fi eld helping people. I always go the extra mile for my agents and customers and am always quick to respond to calls and emails. I love my job." says Watson. Tye sponsors events at the Santa Cruz County Association of Realtors as an Affi liate member and especially enjoyed having a booth at A Taste of Santa Cruz this past year.
