Be the first to reserve your seats on the 50-yard line for the Rotary Music Festival on Thursday, July 3, at the Cedarburg High School Athletic Field. Tickets are now on sale for the 15th annual event and can be ordered through Drum Corps International at www.dci.org/tickets or by calling 317-275-1212. Seven drum and bugle corps will be performing in this year's music festival. Making their first appearance at the Rotary Music Festival will be the Blue Devils of Concord, CA. Created in 1970 out of a drum and bell corps, the Blue Devils hold the record for the most Drum Corps International World Championship titles, winning more than a dozen times since 1976. Since then, the corps has placed in the top three all but five times, and has never finished out of the top five. Other corps partic- ipating include the Madison Scouts of Madison; Pioneer of Milwaukee; Jersey Surf of Mount Holly, N.J.; Genesis of Edinburg, Texas; Legends of Kalamozoo, Mich., and Racine Scouts of Racine. Ticket prices range from $20 to $40 and include a $5 discount on seats for groups of 20 or more. Arrangements for handicapped seating and free tickets for children 7 and under can be obtained by phone only. There is a $3.95 handling fee for all ticket purchases.
