March 2011 My Two Cents by Jim Koury, Editor and features that you came to know and love. Welcome to the March digi- tal issue of Diversity Rules Magazine! I am so honored to be able to offer Diversity Rules Magazine to you once again. It will be in digital format until the resources can be garnered to produce a print edition as well. Te magazine will contain the same quality information I am also happy to report that Diversity Rules will be a monthly publication. It will be acces- sible through the Diversity Rules website using the I-folds technolgy and will be a free subscrip- tion service until a print edition is published. At that time due to the costs of the service, there will be a small subscription fee assessed to access the digital issue. Arrangements are also being made to have a digital version available through Zinio.com, a web based magazine publishing service. When Diversity Rules is published again it will be in a compact 6 x 10 format, and will be a full color, glossy publication. Stay tuned via the website at www.diversityrulesmagazine.com for further information on when the print ed- tion will be avalable. Tere will be numerous advertising opportuni- ties in the new Diversity Rules Magazine. An advertising package can be put together for you that will meet your needs. Web advertising rates are also being developed and will be announced shortly. When Diversity Rules Magazine begins print- ing again, subscriptions will also be available at a 6-month and full year rate. If you are interested in helping make the new Diversity Rules a success, there are many op- portunities to do so. See page twenty-three for more information on what you can do to help! Te March digital issue features Abby Dees. Abby Dees is a civil rights attorney and editor for St. Lynn’s Press who has been actively in- volved in lesbian, gay and bisexual rights and awareness work for 25 years. She has seen first hand that the best tools for understanding are courage, communication, patience and a good sense of humor – things that get drowned out too often by the loud squawk of politics. Abby and her partner, Traci, are among the 18,000 same-sex couples in California who mar- ried in 2008. Abby is a Beatles fanatic, failed rock star, and travels every chance she gets. She lives in Los Angeles and Nashville. I know you will enjoy reading about Abby as much as I en- joyed interviewing her. Feedback is always welcome! Feel free to con- tact me at editor@diversityrulesmagazine.com to let me know your thoughts. I want to make Diversity Rules the best it can be and with your input it will be! I hope you enjoy the issue! Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 James R.
