On the Radio The Weepies Each week, SUNY Oneonta-based NPR affiliate WUOW features a worthy mus- cian in its Friday Night Featured Artist radio program from 8 to 9 p.m. at 104.7 FM in Oneonta and online at wuow.org. This week’s featured artist is the indie-folk duo The Weepies. Singer-songwriters Deb Talan and Steve Tannen met in Cambridge, Mass., in 2001, and over the last decade the two have gotten married, had children and created four albums. Their songs have been featured on “Grey’s Anatomy,” in a 2008 Barak Obama campaign advertisement and in the recently released movie “Morning Glory.” Five songs listeners will hear on the FNFA show: 1 same changes 2 how you survive the war 3 can’t go back now 4 little bird 5 lighting candles The Weepies are seen in this contributed photo. 14 O-Town Scene Jan. 27, 2011
