On Eli Segall's Dec. 2 vegasinc.com story about a local developer purchasing a valley mall ("Developer buys Boulevard mall from lenders for $54.5 million"): Best idea would be to change the business model. Turn that mall into a post-Zombie-Apocalyptic Amusement Park. Have a few actors walk around like zombies and frighten the visitors, while they have to figure out how to survive. Best Vegas tourist experience ever. — GoVegas The number of seats the proposed All Net Arena would have. Former UNLV and NBA player Jackie Robinson announced plans to break ground on the $1.3 billion arena with a retractable roof in 2014. Best of luck to the new owner, and I hope he does well. I have a 5-year-old and I'd much rather people drink near the playground than carry a gun. I can deal with a loud, obnoxious drunk. Shots fired generally come with some sort of finality that nobody wants to experience. — Megan Conklin If they see someone either bring in alcohol from outside, tell them to dump the alcohol or leave. It's a much more effective method of ensuring that only Container Park alcohol is present at Container Park, setting aside the issue of how it is that kids are impacted by outside alcohol rather than alcohol served inside. — jonellt Advertising this move (to stop the practice of checking bags) has created a much more unsafe environment for those wishing to enjoy the park. This isn't Summerlin, it's not Southern Highlands, it's not even Green Valley, this is downtown all but abandoned to urban blight until some daring entrepreneurial spirits decided to throw heaps of cash at it. — ELJeffe 19 1/2/14 10:28:11 AM
