Karin has also been teaching creative classes for children the past 11 years. She said she believes it is vital for a healthy society to foster a playful approach toward creativity and art at a young age. Her website is www.windfall.etsy. com. Karin will be exhibiting at her studio’s holiday sale, which is open to the public, from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at 16-20 East End Ave. in Oneonta. The sale will feature the work of 10 area artists and crafters. “Design has continually been something I have gravitated to, whether it be via a pen, a brush, a torch or a hammer. I have always sought to balance my life through creativity and play, and working with metal has allowed me to sustain that. I create small pieces of beauty in the form of jewelry that people can wear as an expression of their own personal style, as well as an expression of myself as a designer.” 20 O-Town Scene Dec. 2, 2010
