The Penta Building Group raised $100,000 for the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation and Women's Development Center during the ninth annual Charity Golf Classic at the Revere Golf Club. Each nonprofit received $50,000. YMCA of Southern Nevada received a $1 million grant from the Engelstad Family Foundation to support its Strong Kids Campaign, which helps low-income children and families participate in summer camp, after-school and fitness programs. Last year, more than 33,000 people received financial assistance worth $384,310 through the Strong Kids Campaign. Station Casinos and Beasley Broadcasting awarded tickets for Toto at Red Rock Resort to people who donated to the victims of the Carpenter 1 Fire on Mt. Charleston.
