Velotta senior staff writer By Ron Sylvester staff writer T After five years of shrinking airline capacity and domestic passenger counts at McCarran International Airport, good news appears to be on the horizon. Aviation analysts anticipate growth at Las Vegas' airport over the next five years. Mike Boyd, chairman of the Evergreen, Colo.-based Boyd Group International, expects passenger counts to increase by 6.3 percent by 2017 as airlines slowly bump up their domestic capacity. Boyd made his predictions at an aviation summit last month in Dallas and anticipates that Las Vegas will be one of the top 10 growth markets among major airports in the country. The turnaround already has begun. McCarran was one of five large airports to project capacity growth in 2012, he rules for entertaining business clients have changed since the days of the threemartini lunch. ¶ Who has time to sit around and drink when there's so much work to be done? ¶ Nevertheless, while leisurely "business" lunches may be a thing of the past, maintaining good customer and client relationships is more important than ever.
