Early ‘80s-1999: The Shire Pub, a popular water- ing hole for students and locals.
“We wanted to bring back the same name. People who grew up in Delhi and frequented the Shire have very fond memories, and we wanted to bring back a little of that nostalgia. Out of respect for the original owner, and as a way to attach our own identity to the business, we added our surname to the ‘The Shire Pub,’ and, thus, we have O’Neill’s Shire Pub.” –Edward O’Neill, co-owner
