Addressing those questions will be the primary focus of the fourth annual Latino Employee Resource Group (ERG) Summit and Corporate Challenge on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013. It will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the historic Hilton Chicago as part of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's 34th annual National Convention. The Summit brings together ERGs to share best practices and compelling results on the value of Hispanic executives and employees in corporate America. ERGs play a crucial role in ensuring that companies are embracing diversity in recruitment and retention, management, and talent and customer development. Leading corporations from across the country compete in the event, and the top five corporations each year have been selected by independent review panels. The first three winners – HACEMOS of AT&T in 2010, the Hispanic Forum of General Electric in 2011, and 2012 winner Adelante of JPMorgan Chase – have been recognized as the best Latino ERGs in the country. Leading the 2013 ERG Summit will be Dr. Robert Rodriguez, President of DRR Advisors LLC. A longstanding friend of the USHCC, Dr. Rodriguez has been instrumental in hosting this annual event and competition that highlights the work of Hispanic ERGs.
